Creative Support for High School Textiles & Fashion Students

Threadz & Textilez with Teenz is an 8-week guided sewing and textiles support program designed specifically for high school students studying Textiles, Fashion, Design & Technology, Costume Design, and creative sewing-based subjects.

 

This is not a beginner craft class — this program focuses on supporting students through their actual school curriculum projects, helping them build practical sewing skills, confidence, creativity, organisation, and garment construction techniques required for school assessments and major works.

 

Students receive guidance in a supportive studio environment while working on their individual school projects at their own pace.

Location: Rooty Hill, NSW

Class Style: Small group guided sessions with individual project support

 

Students work on their own school-based projects while receiving personalised assistance and technical guidance throughout the term.

 

What To Bring.....

Students are required to bring their own supplies and project materials.

 

Required Materials & Equipment:

- Fabrics for each project

- Drafting / Butcher’s / Packaging paper

- Vinyl (party table vinyl)

- Dressmaking pins (glass, pearl, or plastic head)

- Measuring tape

- Tailor’s chalk

- Matching coloured cottons/threads

- Extra bobbins

- Fabric scissors

- Rulers

- Pattern drafting rulers

- Hand sewing needles

- Extra sewing machine needles

- Pens & pencils

- Notebook for measurements and notes

- Sewing machine

 

Important Information....

- Students may bring their current school textile projects to class

- Guidance is tailored according to individual school project requirements

- Basic studio equipment may be available during class time

- Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine for familiarity and practice

- Fabric and project materials are supplied by the student
