Want to make your childrens clothes? Or maybe you are interested in hitting the road to set up a market stall selling handmade children's clothing!

Come along and join me with this sewing class exclusively designed to teach how to draft and sew childrens wear. 

 

What you will be learning.....

 

Use & understand commercial patterns

Understand size charts

Learn about alphabetical & numberical sizing 

Drafting sewing patterns 

Grading up or down a pattern 

Pattern cutting & Garment construction 

Fabric layout

Drafting basic pattern blocks for little girls and boys

Skirt variations 

Bodice variations 

Necklines, collars and sleeves

Sewing techniques for hems, necklines, applique etc

Fabrics and colour selection

This course will cover childrens wear for ages 5 to 12 years.

This class INCLUDES an introduction to the sewing machine, so no basic knowledge is required. 

You will need no supplies the first day of class. I will go over all the sewing tools and notions that you will need for the course on the first day! A machine rental is included in the cost of the class, there is no discount for bringing your own sewing machine.
