This structured 6-Week Origami Course is designed for absolute beginners who wish to develop strong foundational paper-folding skills and progress into confident creators of decorative and functional origami models.
Throughout the course, students will be introduced to essential origami principles including paper selection, grain direction awareness, folding accuracy, crease control, and diagram interpretation. Step-by-step guidance will help participants build confidence as they learn a wide range of traditional, practical, and modular folding techniques.
Each weekly session focuses on developing precision, patience, spatial awareness, and creative presentation skills through carefully selected projects that gradually increase in complexity. Students will create decorative models such as flowers, birds, ornaments, and stars, as well as functional items including boxes, envelopes, bookmarks, and display pieces.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to independently follow origami instructions, construct modular structures, and confidently produce neat, well-finished paper creations. This course is ideal for hobbyists, educators, parents, creative learners, and anyone interested in mindful craft activities or community workshop participation.
