Lingerie Sewing

If you are ready to expand your confident sewing and pattern drafting abilities taking it to the next level and want to learn to sew lingerie, then this is the course for you.

Sewing a beginner lingerie garment from a commercial sewing pattern will take atleast 3 hours (depending on your level and sewing skills), from start to finish. As I teach you to draft the patterns as well, you will need to give yourself an hour or so more.

Over this course of 6 sessions, you will learn the fundamentals of lingerie making. I will cover every detail to create a solid base knowledge about lingerie sewing that will set you up to move onto more intricate and complex lingerie projects.

You will create a beautiful lingerie set that will work as a formula to sew many more undies and bra/ bralettes.

• How to choose resilient fabrics for a supportive bralette and comfortable undies, and how to combine different fabrics for both design and function

• How to choose a size, adjust the fit, grade between sizes, and make pattern adjustments

• How to sew with a variety of lingerie elastics and findings

• The best tools and techniques to get the best results on a regular sewing machine using standard zig zag stitches

• How to troubleshoot and solve common problems

• How to sew undies from start to finish

• How to sew bra/ bralettes from start to finish

• How to draft a customize pattern

This Lingerie sewing course is usually made up of 6 x 2.5 hour sessions run over 6 consecutive weeks. This can also be completed as a crash course if needed.
