Children's Knitting Classes

Project based children's learn to knit classes is the perfect way for children aged 7 and up to learn the basics of knitting in a relaxed, age-appropriate environment.
We will cover how to hold the needles, cast on, and master the knit stitch. There’s plenty of support along the way, and everyone leaves with a mini project and the confidence to keep going.
We keep the group small so each young maker gets hands-on help—and all materials are included.

You will learn how to:

Hold the needles and yarn with confidence
Cast on using the knit-on method
Create rows of the knit stitch
Fix basic mistakes and read your stitches
Work on a mini square

Over the 8 weeks we will aim to complete at least 7 projects depending on the child's learning they might be able to complete 8 projects.

Knowledge required

No experience required – this is an absolute beginner class designed for children aged 7+

Adults aren’t allowed to stay in the session but are welcome to wait in your car.

Fees 

To be paid in advance and three days prior to start date. It can be paid by first bank transfer for PayID. 

Please note:

As these are After school term classes, and I have learners coming from far distances as well; there's flexibility for children arriving late but will need to complete the 1.5hrs of class.
