Discover the wonderful world of soft pastel art with our Soft Pastel Creations four-week creative course at Lyndaz Kreative Klasses!

Designed for children aged 5–12 years, this hands-on course introduces young artists to the beautiful effects created by blending, smudging and layering soft pastel colours.

From glowing sunsets and fluffy animals to colourful landscapes, children will learn how to transform simple drawings into expressive works of art.

With patient, step-by-step guidance and plenty of opportunities to experiment, learners will develop their creativity, confidence and artistic skills at their own pace.

No previous drawing or pastel experience is necessary!

Week 1 — Blend & Smudge

Get to know your soft pastels! Experiment with colour blending, smudging techniques and creating beautiful sky backgrounds.

Week 2 — Animals in Pastel

Explore how to draw animals using soft pastels. Learn techniques for creating fur, feathers and other interesting textures.

Week 3 — Beautiful Landscapes

Create colourful landscapes by layering colours, adding details and developing a sense of depth.

Week 4 — My Pastel Masterpiece

Bring everything together! Plan and complete a beautiful pastel artwork, then prepare it for display.

🧵 Supply List — What Learners Need to Bring

All learners are required to bring their own materials and equipment for this course.

Pastel Art Materials

A set of child-friendly soft pastels in assorted colours

Pastel paper or textured drawing paper

A few sheets of practice paper

Blending stumps or soft blending tools

Soft tissues or cotton pads for blending

HB pencil

Sketchbook or drawing pad

Additional Essentials

Protective apron

Cleaning cloths or paper towels

Mounting card for the final artwork

Glue stick or suitable mounting tape

Folder for transporting artwork

Important: Course fees do not include materials. Parents and carers are requested to organise the complete supply list before their child's first session.

Please Note: Soft pastels can produce dust. Parents and carers are encouraged to advise us of any relevant dust sensitivities before enrolment.
