Welcome to Marble Painting Magic, an exciting four-week creative course where children aged 5–12 years explore the fascinating relationship between colour, movement and artistic expression!

Using marbles, washable paints and simple painting techniques, young artists will discover how rolling, tilting and swirling can transform ordinary paper into colourful works of art.

From experimenting with their first marble paintings to creating imaginative pictures and completing their own mini art gallery, children will enjoy a creative journey filled with colour and discovery.

With patient, step-by-step guidance, every learner can experiment, explore and develop confidence in their artistic abilities.

No previous painting experience is necessary!

🖌️ Your 4-Week Creative Journey

Week 1 — Rolling Colour

Discover the basics of marble painting! Learn how to use marbles, paint and trays to create colourful patterns while exploring colour mixing.

Week 2 — Movement & Pattern

Experiment with different movements, including tilting, swirling and layering. Discover how changing the direction and speed of the marbles creates exciting patterns.

Week 3 — From Abstract to Picture

Look closely at your colourful marble paintings and discover the pictures hiding within them!

Use drawing and painting techniques to transform abstract patterns into imaginative scenes, animals or decorative artwork.

Week 4 — My Marble Painting Gallery

Bring everything together!

Create a final collection of marble paintings using your favourite techniques. Select your best pieces, mount them and prepare your own mini art gallery.

Children will proudly take home their completed artwork.

🧵 Supply List — What Learners Need to Bring

All learners must bring their own materials and equipment for this course.

Marble Painting Materials

• Large, smooth marbles suitable for supervised craft activities.
• Shallow painting tray or sturdy plastic container with raised sides.
• Washable, water-based craft paints in assorted colours.
• Heavyweight drawing paper or thick painting paper.
• Small containers for holding and mixing paint.
• Plastic spoon or suitable tool for transferring paint.

Drawing & Decorating Materials

• HB pencil and eraser.
• Coloured pencils.
• Washable markers.
• Assorted paintbrushes.
• Sketchbook or drawing paper.

Final Project Materials

• Additional heavyweight paper for the final paintings.
• Mounting card or sturdy backing paper.
• Glue stick or suitable double-sided mounting tape.
• Folder for presenting and transporting artwork.

Additional Essentials

• Protective apron.
• Protective table covering.
• Cleaning cloths or paper towels.
• Small, secure container for transporting marbles.
• Water bottle and a small snack.

Important: Course fees do not include materials. Parents and carers are requested to organise the complete supply list before their child's first session.

⚠️ Important Safety Information

Marbles are small objects and must be handled carefully.

All marble painting activities are conducted under adult supervision. Marbles must remain inside the designated painting trays during activities and must never be placed in the mouth.

For children who may mouth small objects or require additional support, please contact us before enrolment so we can discuss whether suitable adaptations are possible.
