Discover the wonderful world of printmaking with Magical Monoprinting, a fun, hands-on four-week creative course for children aged 5–12 years.

Young artists will explore how to transform simple drawings, shapes and textures into beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints.

Through guided activities, creative experimentation and practical projects, learners will gradually develop their printing techniques and artistic confidence.

No previous printmaking experience is necessary. Children who have attended our introductory Magical Monoprinting holiday workshop are also welcome to continue developing their skills.

🖌️ Your 4-Week Creative Journey

Week 1 — Ink & Press

Explore the basics of monoprinting! Learn how to roll ink onto a printing plate, draw into the ink and transfer designs onto paper.

Week 2 — Layers & Colours

Experiment with colour combinations and overlapping designs to create vibrant, multicoloured prints.

Week 3 — Textures & Stencils

Discover how everyday textures, patterns and stencils can add interesting effects to printed artwork.

Week 4 — My Print Portfolio

Bring everything together! Create a collection of original prints, select your favourites and prepare them for presentation.

All learners are required to bring their own materials and equipment for this course.

Printing Materials

Reusable monoprinting plate or smooth acrylic printing surface

Small rubber brayer or printing roller

Washable, water-based block-printing inks in assorted colours

Printmaking paper or heavyweight drawing paper

Plastic palette or ink tray

Drawing & Design Materials

HB pencil and eraser

Cotton buds or suitable drawing tools

Stencil sheets or pre-cut stencils

Textured materials for printing, such as textured paper or suitable craft foam

Additional Essentials

Protective apron

Cleaning cloths or paper towels

Glue stick

Card or mounting paper for the final portfolio

Folder for transporting artwork

Water bottle and a small snack

Important: Course fees do not include materials. Parents and carers are requested to organise the complete supply list before their child's first session.
