✨ Your Four-Week Creative Journey

WEEK 1 — BRUSH PAINTING MAGIC

Project: My Colourful Fabric Artwork

Children begin their fabric-painting adventure by exploring brushes, colours and simple painting techniques.

Using a prepared piece of cotton fabric, learners will practise applying fabric paint, mixing colours and creating decorative designs.

Children may choose to paint flowers, butterflies, rainbows, animals or imaginative patterns.

Younger learners can use simple outlines or templates, while older children may create their own freehand artwork.

Skills: Brush control, colour mixing, painting techniques and creative expression.

Take-home creation: A colourful painted fabric artwork.

WEEK 2 — STENCIL PAINTING FUN

Project: My Personalised Fabric Tote Bag

This week, children will discover how stencils can be used to create beautiful designs on fabric.

Using a plain cotton tote bag, learners will practise positioning stencils and applying paint carefully to create clear shapes and patterns.

They can personalise their bags using favourite colours, initials, simple shapes or decorative motifs.

Skills: Stencil placement, paint application, colour coordination and design planning.

Take-home creation: A personalised painted fabric tote bag.

WEEK 3 — SPONGE PAINTING ADVENTURES

Project: My Decorative Cushion Cover

Children will explore the exciting textures and patterns that can be created using sponges.

Using a plain cotton cushion cover, learners will experiment with sponge printing, dabbing, layering colours and creating repeated patterns.

They may design colourful flowers, geometric patterns, abstract artwork or nature-inspired decorations.

Skills: Sponge painting, texture creation, pattern repetition and colour layering.

Take-home creation: A decorative painted cushion cover.

WEEK 4 — FABRIC PAINTING DESIGN STUDIO

Project: My Personalised Fabric Wall Hanging

For their final creative adventure, children become fabric artists!

Using a prepared cotton fabric panel, learners will plan and create their own decorative wall hanging.

They can combine their favourite techniques from previous weeks, including brush painting, stencilling and sponge painting.

Children will explore colour combinations, design placement and decorative finishing to create a personalised artwork.

A prepared hanging system can be attached once the fabric is dry and any required finishing is complete.

Skills: Creative planning, combining techniques, composition, personalisation and finishing.

Take-home creation: A personalised painted fabric wall hanging.

Projects and techniques may be adapted to suit each child's age, abilities and working pace. Painted items may require additional drying or adult finishing before use.
