✨ Your Four-Week Creative Journey

WEEK 1 — TWISTS & CURVES

Project: My Colourful Wire Butterfly

Children begin by exploring how soft, flexible craft materials can be shaped into decorative forms.

Using colourful chenille stems or prepared soft craft wire, learners will practise bending, twisting and creating symmetrical loops.

They will construct a butterfly with colourful wings, antennae and decorative details.

Skills: Bending, looping, symmetry and basic joining.

Finished project: Colourful wire butterfly sculpture.

WEEK 2 — STANDING SCULPTURES

Project: My Miniature Wire Tree

This week, children discover how flexible materials can be used to create standing three-dimensional sculptures.

Using prepared soft craft wire or chenille stems, learners will twist and shape a miniature tree with branches.

They will explore how to create a stable base and arrange branches into an interesting composition.

Children may add colourful paper leaves or other lightweight decorations.

Skills: Three-dimensional construction, twisting, balance and shaping.

Finished project: Miniature wire tree sculpture.

WEEK 3 — SCULPTING WITH SHAPES

Project: My Rainbow Wire Flower

Children will explore how repeated loops and curved shapes can be combined to create a decorative sculpture.

Using colourful chenille stems or suitable soft craft wire, learners will construct a flower with shaped petals, a stem and leaves.

They will experiment with colour combinations, symmetry and decorative details.

Skills: Repeated shapes, joining, colour coordination and sculptural design.

Finished project: Rainbow wire flower sculpture.

WEEK 4 — MY IMAGINATION SCULPTURE

Project: My Personalised Wire Creature

For their final creative challenge, children become sculpture designers!

Using techniques learned throughout the course, learners will plan and construct an original animal or fantasy creature.

Their creation might be a colourful bird, a friendly dinosaur, a miniature dragon or an entirely imaginary character.

Children will explore shaping, joining, balance and personalisation.

Skills: Design planning, combining techniques, three-dimensional construction and creative problem-solving.

Finished project: Personalised wire creature sculpture.

Projects may be adapted to suit each child's age, abilities and working pace. Prepared components and softer materials may be used where appropriate.
