✨ Your Four-Week Creative Journey
WEEK 1 — MY LITTLE DREAM HOUSE
Project: Miniature Cardboard House
Children begin their architectural adventure by designing and constructing a miniature house.
Using prepared cardboard pieces, learners will explore how walls, roofs and doors come together to create a simple building.
They will practise folding, joining and decorating their houses with colourful details.
Younger learners can use prepared templates, while older children may design their own simple layouts.
Skills: Basic construction, folding, joining and shape recognition.
Finished project: Miniature cardboard house.
WEEK 2 — BRIDGES & BRILLIANT BUILDERS
Project: My Cardboard Bridge
This week, children become bridge engineers!
Using cardboard strips, folded supports and simple construction techniques, learners will create a freestanding bridge.
They will explore how different shapes and supports affect the strength of their structures.
Children can test their completed bridges using lightweight classroom objects and discuss what makes a bridge stable.
Skills: Structural support, balance, folding, engineering concepts and problem-solving.
Finished project: Freestanding cardboard bridge.
WEEK 3 — TOWERING CREATIONS
Project: My Miniature Castle Tower
Children will discover how to build taller structures while maintaining balance and stability.
Using prepared cardboard tubes and lightweight cardboard pieces, learners will construct a miniature castle tower.
They can add windows, decorative battlements, flags and imaginative architectural details.
Skills: Vertical construction, balance, proportion and decorative design.
Finished project: Miniature castle tower.
WEEK 4 — MY MINIATURE DREAM BUILDING
Project: My Personalised Miniature Building
For their final creative challenge, children become architects!
They will design and construct an original miniature building using techniques learned throughout the course.
Their creation might be a library, café, school, animal shelter, fire station or an imaginative fantasy building.
Children will sketch a simple design, select their materials and construct their buildings.
They will then personalise their creations with colourful architectural details.
Skills: Design planning, combining construction techniques, spatial awareness and creative problem-solving.
Finished project: Personalised miniature cardboard building.
Projects may be adapted to suit each child's age, abilities and working pace. Prepared cardboard pieces and templates may be used where appropriate.
